Postman murder unsolved after 7 years
Today, Thursday 4 February, marks the seventh anniversary of the murder of Paul Savage, a postman beaten to death whilst delivering mail on Clayton Road in Mold; and twelve months after launching a review of this investigation detectives continue to progress enquiries.

A number of new witnesses have been traced following appeals for information and areas that were not searched at the time of the initial investigation were searched during the summer months.

Items found during these searches and items seized that had not previously been examined have now been forensically examined as part of this review.

Detective Chief Inspector John Hanson said: "New evidence has been gathered during the last twelve months. However despite the progress we have made, I would continue to appeal for information from the community in Mold. I believe significant information is still known by certain individuals and would appeal to these individuals to contact me.

"A reward of £100,000 continues to be offered for information leading to the arrest, charge and conviction of any person responsible for this murder."

Anyone with information relating to the murder is asked to contact 101 if in Wales, 0845 6071001 (Welsh line), 0845 6071002 (English line) or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Alternatively you can text 66767 or e-mail northwalespolice@north-wales.police .uk
