Algae hits Welsh lake
Environment Agency Wales have confirmed an outbreak of blue green algae at Llyn Coron, Aberffraw.

Water in the lake has been found to contain large numbers of blue-green algae which may cause illness in humans and animals.

Scum on the surface of the water may contain toxins produced naturally by the blue-green algae.

Members of the public should adhere to the following advice:

AVOID contact with surface scum

DO NOT swim in the water

DO NOT drink the water

DO NOT let your animals / pets drink it
